OBITUARY Anna “Annie” Mae Grogan Witt May 24, 1922 – October 7, 2018 Anna “Annie” Mae Grogan Witt, 96, of Evington received her eternal robe from her Savior on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alvin Jubal Witt. Born May 24, 1922, in Boone, NC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Johile Grogan and the late Effie Culler Grogan.

Annie was a retired, self-employed hairdresser and a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church. Annie is survived by five generations of family including her children, Gary Witt (Linda) of Evington, Linda Adams (Kenneth) of Evington and Arlene Gunter (Jeff) of Evington; eight grandchildren, Greg Witt (Kim), Renee Trent (Randy), Ben Adams (Christi), Chris Witt (Susan), Ethan Gunter (Maddie), Taylor Gunter (Jillian), Timothy Gunter and Sydney Gunter; seven great grandchildren, Emily Scott (Ian), Alyssa Moon (Michael), Kara Witt, Alexis Trent, Mina Adams, Kylie Witt and Avery Witt; one great-great granddaughter, Brinley Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Lakewood Baptist Church with the Rev.

Dan Manley officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the residences of her children.
