Obituary for Anna Authement Annabelle (Anna May) Naquin Authement 94, a native of Houma and resident of Montegut passed away peacefully Wednesday July 25, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 8:30 till funeral time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 am Friday at the church.
She is survived by her son Wayne Paul Authement and wife, Kathy Arceneaux Authement, son Steven John Authement and wife, Linda Austin Authement: grandchildren Benny James Authement, Jason Paul Authement and wife, Margaret Hebert Authement, Samuel Whitney Authement and wife, Angela Naquin Authement, Claude Peter Authement and wife, Kellie Lirette Authement, Lauren Elizabeth Authement Weiss and husband, Micci Jordon Weiss and Christopher Austin Authement and wife, Jennifer Ann Naquin Authement and twelve great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband Whitney Joseph Authement Jr. and her parents Claude Joseph Naquin and Mary Anne Pitre and sisters, Elma Naquin Gaudet, Ray Naquin Danos and Ruby Marie Naquin and half-brother Jerry Naquin. She was a homemaker and active in all of the Montegut community organizations and services: a life time member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Montegut Home Makers Club, Montegut Lions Club and the Montegut Carnival Club.
An active parishioner of Sacred Heart Church for over 60 years, religion teaching programs, rosary group and church fairs. Her greatest joy was the journey she shared being married to Whitney for over 66 years and together they did it all. She loved to cook, dance, attending all of the family events, fishing trips along with traveling with friends especially after they joined the Cruising Cajuns RV Club along with their little dog Niki.
She was always ready to go on short notice and loved spending time with all of her friends, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all but never forgotten. Online condolences can be given at www.
