Obituary for Anna Burger Anna Datchko Burger, 93 of Princeton, WV died Monday April 23, 2018 in a Charleston hospital. Anna was born January 4, 1925 in Delano, PA and was a daughter of the late Metro Datchko and Anastasia Maschak Datchko. Anna was of the Methodist faith and a graduate of Allentown School of Nursing and began her working career at Ashland State Hospital and retired as RN Supervisor at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ.

She moved to Bluefield in 1992 to be with family and worked at Princeton Community Hospital for a few years. She then volunteered during tax season at the Princeton Library as a tax preparer for the elderly and as a volunteer at St. Luke’s and Princeton Hospital. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jeffery Burger of Gary in 1999 and brothers; Joseph, Michael, Metro, and Daniel Datchko and sisters; Rose Landman, Mary Kline and infant daughter Susan Jean Burger.

Surviving Anna are her daughters; Judith Small and husband Jeffrey of Gary, WV and Cheryl Hayes of Gaffney, SC, 3 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, special sister-in-law, Fay Datchko of Delano, PA. The body will be cremated and a service will be schedule at a later date in Pennsylvania. Those wishing to share memories or condolence messages with the family may do so by visiting www.
