Obituary for Joseph Alan Nigro Bluefield, WV- Joseph Alan Nigro, 67, of Bluefield, WV, died Saturday April 7, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born August 30, 1950, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Felix and Beulah Warden Nigro. Mr. Nigro was a graduate of Bluefield High School and Bluefield State College.

He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed golfing and swimming. He loved to talk and socialize. Mr. Nigro retired from Bluefield High School as a Teacher, and he had also coached football at Bluefield High School and Montcalm High School.

He is survived by his long-time companion, Pam Miller of Bluefield, VA; one son, Joseph “Joey” Nigro, II and his wife Nicholette of Lemont, IL; five grandchildren, Keith, Kenny, Dominique, Samantha, and Leah; and five great-grandchildren, Ava, Jace, Logan, Carter, and Kane. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Scott officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.
