Obituary for Ella C. Hill Ella (Corine) Hill, nee Sarver, passed peacefully on April 15, 2018 at the age of 94. Corine had been a resident of the Westwood Nursing Home and prior to that resided on Southview Drive. Aside from a short time in California, Corine was a life-long resident of Bluefield, having attended the Wade School and graduating from Bluefield High School in 1943.

Corine is survived by her son-in-law, Stephen Copeland, her three grandchildren, Eric, Alfred and Tracie Copeland, and her two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor Copeland. Corine is preceded in death by her parents, David and Florence Sarver, her husband, Horace Hill, her daughter, Charlotte Copeland, her sister, Edith Neel, and her four brothers, Samuel, Dewey, Dawson and Willis Sarver. Corine was a member of the Midway Church of Christ and active in the Bluefield Community.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Mercer Funeral Home. A private internment will take place at Grandview Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Those wishing to share memories or condolence messages with the family may do so by visiting Ella C. Hill.
