Anna Mary’s Obituary Anna Mary (Quinn) Canada, 87, of Connellsville, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 surrounded by family at Allegheny General Hospital. Anna Mary was born in Connellsville (Dutch Bottom) on September 20, 1931 and resided in Connellsville Township in the home that her husband built for her and her family. Anna Mary had a wonderful life and in turn provided an amazing life for her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Anna Mary was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, a parish community that she dearly loved, and was a former President of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Ladies Lodge of the Sons of Italy, Connellsville. She was retired from the cafeteria at Geibel High School and was a former employee of Bell Telephone, Murphy’s Five and Ten, and Hetzel’s Drug Store where she met her husband, Michael Canada.

She was a dedicated volunteer for the Westmoreland County Food Bank, Inc She was a stay at home Mom for 27 years, a job that she valued the most. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and proud great-grandmother of eight beautiful children.

Anna Mary is survived by her daughters; Susan Cole and husband John of Connellsville, Michele James and husband Mike of Marion, IN. , and Jennifer Miller and husband Bob of Connellsville. She had five very special grandchildren, Adam James of Chicago, IL.

, Stephanie Wright and fiance James Mantz of Marion, IN. , Jonathan Cole and wife Elizabeth of Indian Head, Michael James of Marion, IN. , and Carly Burncheck and husband Jacob of Connellsville.

Anna Mary was so proud of her eight great-grandchildren, Madison Wright, Kaiden Burncheck, Sophie Wright, Jacob Burncheck, Jaylee Mantz, Bolden Cole, Isabella Burncheck and Jaxen Mantz. She had three special step great-grandchildren; Cody, Belle, and Ariauna Hichman. Anna Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and thought of as her own.

She is also survived by a special sister-law- and friend Rose Canada Mariotti and sister-in-law Lois Quinn. Anna Mary was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Michael E. Canada who died in 1993. her parents, James and Catherie (Andursky) Quinn, sisters; Kathleen and husband Arthur, and Patricia Scacchi and husband Francis (Babe), and a brother James R. Quinn and his wife Kay, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Joseph Canada, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws; Anthony Canada , Grace Canada (infant), Joseph Canada and his wife Ange, John (Jimmy) Canada and his wife Grace, Frank Canada and his wife Doris, Peter Mariotti, and special nephews John Canada, and Paul Canada and infant Katherine Scacchi.

Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME 123 S. 1st St. West Side, Connellsville (724) 628-9033 on Friday from 1-8PM. A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 10:15AM in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in Immaculate Conception RC Church with Fr. Bob Lubic as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
