Clyde G. “Skip” Burd, 68 of Connellsville died Thursday January 24, 2019 in Transitions Healthcare, Washington, Pa. He was born March 12, 1950 in Mount Pleasant a son of Harold “Pete” Burd of Mount Pleasant and the late Sara ‘Sally” Engle Burd. Skip was a graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School and West Virginia University.

He was the owner and operator of Schmitz Tire Co. of Connellsville. He was a member of the Dunbar Eagles Lodge. In addition to his father he is survived by his sons, Tanner Burd of Connellsville, Tyler Burd of Connellsville and Travis Burd and his fiancé Alicia McCutcheon of Connellsville.

one grandson, Parker; one brother, John Burd and his wife Cindy of Connellsville and two sisters, Cindy Arrotti and her husband Fred of Mount Pleasant and Debbie Shawley and her husband Glenn of Seward. Viewing and funeral services were private with interment in Green Ridge Memorial Park. All arrangements were under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville.
