Obituary for Anne Meredith “Ame” Evans Anne Meredith “Ame” Evans, 62 of St. Albans passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Wyngate at Rivers Edge in Proctorville, Ohio after a long illness. She had been living there for the past year. Ame was born April 15, 1955 to the late Anne Hutchison Evans and survived by her father James Ray Evans (Jackie).

She was also preceded in death by her sister Helen A. “Alix” Evans. Other survivors are her step-sister, Kim Eieckhoner (Todd), uncles Jim Hutchison (Julie), Howard Hutchison (JJ), Steve Hutchison (Bonnie), Chris Hutchison (Peggy), aunt Beth Hutchison Whitman and her many cousins. Also left to cherish their memories of Ame are her Texas family, Walt and Paula Stratton and their sons Neal, Aaron and Nathan along with their wives.

Ame was loved by so many friends and she kept in close contact with them. All of her friends were a great comfort to her. She graduated from Marshall University where she played tennis and basketball.

She was quite an athlete and was an avid animal lover. She loved her birds, cats and loved showing her horse Sultan with whom she won many ribbons. Ame loved music and sang in the church choir and played the hand bells at Riverlawn Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of Ame’s Life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Riverlawn Presbyterian Church, St. Albans with the Rev. Chris Kilbert officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Riverlawn Presbyterian Church, in memory of Anne Meredith “Ame” Evans, 2008 Pennsylvania Ave. , St. Albans, WV 25177.
