Obituary for William A. “Bill” Fizer William A. “Bill” Fizer, 83, of St. Albans went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Charleston to the late Curtis Ray and Myrtle Beckett Fizer. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mitzi White and brother, John R. Fizer.

Bill was retired from Union Carbide Corp. , Institute Plant. Member of Bethany Baptist Church, St. Albans and he was a Graduate of Dunbar High School, class of 1953.

He also served 34 years in the US Navy and the Air National Guard, 130th Airlift Wing, Medical Squadron. Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Fizer; daughter and son-in-law, Kandi and Barry Bradford of St. Albans; grandchildren, Jenifer, Richie (Stephanie), Mike and Michele; 5 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Tim Campbell and Rev.

Robert Leadman officiating. Burial will follow at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar with military honors. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
