Annie was an employee for several years at Maiden Form in Princeton, WV. Following this, she worked for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph for many years as a proofreader and in composition makeup. She was very precise and gave great attention to detail in all her work.

Annie was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She had a heart full of love and kind-heartedness toward others and would do anything for anyone that she could. She married Crozier Allen Patteson on April 7, 1950.

As they grew older together Crozier had always taken care of Annie, and Annie had always taken care of Crozier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crozier Allen Patteson, four siblings LosAngles “Flossie” Carroll Bowles, William F.
