Mrs. Annie’s Obituary On Sunday Morning, October 7, 2018, the angels of the Lord were sent on a special mission to bring one of His devoted servants home, Sister Annie Lee President Hall. Annie Lee President was born to the late Mr. Edward President and the late Mrs. Tennie Glover President on November 8, 1939 in Cross, South Carolina. She was the 16th child of 24 children.

She was educated in Berkeley County Public Schools. At an early age, she became a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Cross, South Carolina. Annie relocated to New York City, New York for better career opportunities.

She worked in the Drapery Industry in New York City for several years. While working there, she went to Nursing School to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After graduation, she worked at New York University Medical Center from 1972-1988.

Afterward, she moved into Private Practice in the Gastroenterologists’ Office to enhance her medical skills. She worked there until her retirement in 2002. Annie was united in holy matrimony to the late Lawrence “Big Boy” Hall on June 24, 1959.

This union was blessed with four children. One child, Dennis President, preceded her in death. Annie joined 2nd Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend John P. Ladson, of New York City, New York, where she served faithfully for many years.

She later moved forward to Gospel Missionary Baptist Church of New York City, New York under the leadership of Bishop Henry Smalls where she was a devoted hard worker. Annie’s memories will always be cherished by: her son, Julius Hall, of Florence, South Carolina; two daughters: Lorraine Hall, of Bronx, New York and Gwendolyn Hall, of New York, New York; two daughters-in-law: Joane Hall and Duverney President; two grandchildren: Dentisha President and Derek President; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Burdell President, of Cross, South Carolina; one brother, Walter President, of Cross, South Carolina; four sisters-in-law: Rebecca President, Alfreda President, Reverend Ella President and Mabel Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends may call at the residence, 706 President Road, Cross, SC or at the funeral home.
