Obituary of Ann Lesso Ann M. Lesso, age 87, of Painted Post, NY, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Ann was born February 14, 1932 in Corning, NY. She is the daughter of Peter and Julia (Cavalier) Pierri.

She married Ralph Lesso on September 6, 1952 at St. Mary’s church in Corning, NY. Ann was employed by Corning Glass Works, Corning, NY, as a secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren.

Ann also enjoyed participating in activities such as knitting and card playing with her many friends. Her greatest accomplishment was the creation of the Self Help for Hard of Hearing group (SHHH). She assisted the hearing impaired community, which gave her much joy and satisfaction.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Lesso; son, Charles (Jan) Lesso of Spartanburg, SC; daughters: Diane (Gary) Colegrove of Lawrenceville, PA, Barbara (John) Festa of Corning, NY, and Mary Ellen (Anthony) DeNardo also of Corning, NY; brothers: Joseph Pierri of Elmira, NY, Anthony (Joan) Pierri of Horseheads, NY, John Pierri of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Jordan (Rose) Lesso, Justin (Barbara) Lesso, Kayla Festa, Michelle Festa, Braeden Roberts, Joseph DeNardo, and Ashley Lesso; great grandson, Owen Lesso; brother-in-law, Joseph Lesso; sisters-in-law: Delphine Pierri, Mickie Pierri, Betty Pierri, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings: Mary Lewis, Albert Pierri, Peter Pierri Jr., Rocco Pierri, James Pierri and Raymond Pierri; sisters-in-law: Mary Lee Pierri, Sylvia Pierri, June Pierri and Yolanda Pierri; brother-in-law, Harold Lewis and sister-in-law, Kay Lesso. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, from 10AM-12PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc., 216 E. First St, Corning, NY.

Funeral services will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corning Cancer Center, 2 Guthrie Drive, Corning, NY, 14830.
