Anthony L. George, 82, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (DiMarco) George. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Blanche (Tondreault) George.

Anthony was a gifted carpenter and woodworker. He designed and built his own house as well as all of the furniture inside. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was always ready to help his family and friends.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Besides his wife of 63 years, he is survived by his son, Anthony L. George, Jr.; a daughter, Lori (George) Warren, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Okolowitcz and her husband Jeffrey. He was the brother of the late Alfred George.

His funeral will be held Friday July 6, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave, Providence. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Donations in Anthony’s name may be made to Hope Hospice Care of RI, 1085 N. Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
