Anthony “Abe” DePalma of Hamden died peacefully on November 9, 2018 at Hamden Health Care with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of the late Eleanor Martinelli DePalma. Abe was born in New Haven on February 5, 1927 to the late Andrew and Annette Amici DePalma.

He worked for Blakeslee Construction Co. and later for the City of New Haven Water Pollution Control Authority before retiring. He was a member of the Dante Club, Santa Maria Maddalena Society and the St. Andrew the Apostle Society and was a devoted New York Yankees fan. Abe is the brother of Michael DePalma and the late Concetta Roberts, Anna Proto, Dorothy Mangusi, Rose D’Urso, Lawrence, William, Pasquale (DA) and Frank (Lee) DePalma.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday morning at 11:30 in St. Michael Church. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
