Lawrence R. Baldino, of Canton, formerly of Woodbridge passed away peacefully December 26, 2018 in St. Francis Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Madeline Izzo Baldino. Born in New Haven October 30, 1946, son of the late Frederic and Rose Amendola Baldino, Larry was a proud US Marine veteran serving during the Viet Nam era and attaining the rank of first lieutenant.

He was a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and earned his MBA and master’s in business statistics from the University of New Haven. He was a Regional Manager at Lebanon Seaboard Corporation and taught for over 30 years at Gateway Community College. Larry was a sports enthusiast; he enjoyed playing tennis for many years and was a fan of the NY Yankees, the Jets, and Yale Athletics.

He was also a trivia buff and enjoyed collecting watches and many pens. Above all, Larry loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is the loving father of Sara (Marc) Natrillo, Lawrence F. (Laura) Baldino, and Alyssa (Scott) Pelow.

Adoring grandfather of Anthony, Dominic, Matthew, and Alexander. Visiting hours will be held Monday morning from 8:00-9:30 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church at 10.

Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101.
