Obituary for Antonio “Tony” Taliercio Antonio “Tony” Taliercio ,age 80 from Ischia, Italy passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 Tony is survived by his loving wife, Amalia Taliercio of Powder Springs, GA. his daughter Lina (Frank) Varsalona of Powder Springs, GA his four grandchildren, Victoria, Isabella, Frank Jr., and Adrianna Varsalona, his sisters Francesca Galano, of East Meadow, NY. , and Rafaela Lubrano of Plainview, NY.

, faithful, loving companion Ava, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Giovanni and Carmela Taliercio, his two brothers Gioacchino Taliercio and Giuseppe Taliercio, and his sister Filomena Conte. Tony and his wife, Amalia were married for 49 loving years.

He came to America from Italy when he was 15 years old where he began working for a bakery and later moved to Queens, New York where he opened an authentic Italian restaurant with his brothers in Forest Hills, NY. He and Amalia later moved to Florida to open his own Italian restaurant, which they successfully operated for 26 years. Antonio loved to cook, travel, bake, laugh, and spend time with his Daughter, Son-in-law and grandchildren.
