ARTHUR FRANKLIN HENRY, age 81, of Mount Sterling, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 5:02 a.m. at Mount Carmel West. He was born on November 20, 1937 in Madison County to William and Ruby Swyers Henry. He was a 1955 graduate of Midway High School.

Arthur had been employed at International Harvester in Columbus and then retired in 1995 from the Sterling BP where he was store manager. He enjoyed going to Scioto Downs and had a passion for harness racing. Arthur held a provisional license which allowed him to race horses locally.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Helen Cantrell, and Sharon McKenzie; and sister-in-law, Jan Henry. Survivors include his children, R. Scott (Peggy) Henry, Adam F. Henry, and Amy (Matthew) Heinlein; grandchildren, Anita (Mike) White, Cody (Becky) Henry, Myles Heinlein, and Ryan (Lexi) Heinlein; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jack, Kaiden, and Karter; siblings, Bo Henry, and Ruby (Rick) Stein; and cousin, Evelyn Rice. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Community Church, 525 Glenn Ave. , Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Jay Lucas officiating with burial to follow at the Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
