Obituary for Mr. Arthur Phelps Mr. Arthur Phelps, age 89, of Petersburg, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, September 28, 2018, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Steve Powell will officiate, with burial to follow in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg.

The family will receive visitors 9 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. He was born December 21, 1928, in Bellville Community of Lincoln County, to the late Clarence and Velvia Warren Phelps. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a farmer and faithful member of Poor Grab Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Betty Margaret Phelps, in August of this year and a sister, Ruth Burgess. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Atkins, and her husband Randy, of Petersburg; a son, Allen Phelps, and his wife Deanna, of Lynchburg; a sister, Deloris Manion; grandchildren, Cory Phelps, Richard Phelps, Matt Phelps, Blake Atkins, Drew Atkins, and Ethan Atkins; numerous great grandchildren. Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
