Obituary for Audrey Hibler Audrey Louise Hibler, age 93, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa. Per her wishes there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa.
Online condolences may be sent for Audrey’s family at www. jonesfh.com Audrey was born March 25, 1925, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of William H. and Gezina (Ros) McLaughlin. She graduated from North High School in Des Moines.
Audrey was united in marriage to Raymond Alvin Hibler on February 16, 1946 in Des Moines. Audrey worked as a Cost Account Specialist for Crane Valves in Washington, Iowa, for 16 years until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her family and their dogs, Max, Turner, and her dog JoJo.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey B. Hibler and wife Carol (Vittetoe) of Burlington, IA; two granddaughters: Kelli (Vince) Taeger and Natalie (Jarod) Ford; and four great-grandchildren: Olivia and Zachary Taeger and Bryce and Baylor Ford. Audrey is also survived by two sisters: Phyllis E. McLaughlin of Des Moines, IA and Jeannine E. Wickliff of Green Valley, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; sisters: Lucille Burchfield and Doris D. Warren; and brothers: Charles H. McLaughlin and David R. McLaughlin.
