Obituary for Wilma Mae Chalupa Wilma Mae (Harris Bruegge)Chalupa, age 79, of Ainsworth, Iowa, died Thursday, November 1, 2018, at her residence in Ainsworth after failing in health for the past six months. Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, at the Ainsworth Community Church with Pastor Jason Collier officiating. Calling hours will begin 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

Interment will take place at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Ainsworth Community Church Kids Programs. Online condolences may be sent for Wilma’s family through the web at www.

jonesfh.com Wilma was born November 10, 1938, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur David and Catherine Ann (Hesseltine) Harris. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Bruegge on December 10, 1955, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He preceded Wilma in death in 1980.

Wilma married Darrell “Buzz” Chalupa on January 23, 1983, in Ainsworth, Iowa. Wilma was a homemaker and was involved with activities in various nursing homes retiring from the M.L. McCreedy Home in 2002. She was an active member of the Ainsworth Community Church where she helped with Bible School, Kids Club, helped organize funeral dinners and helped with the Food Pantry.

She was currently serving on the Board of Directors at Ainsworth Senior Village. She is survived by her husband, Darrell “Buzz” Chalupa of Ainsworth, Iowa; daughter, Diana Bruegge of Ainsworth, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bruegge of Ainsworth, Iowa; granddaughter, Melissa Andrew and husband Robert of Washington, Iowa; grandson, Collin Bruegge and wife Rebecca of North Liberty, Iowa; and great grandsons, Kaden and Karter Andrew of Washington. She is also survived by her sister, Darlene Stewart of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Arch Harris and wife Twilla of Davenport, Iowa; sister, Linda Hagans and husband Richard of Brighton, Iowa; Cathy Thu and husband Greg of New London, Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Bruegge Sr. in 1980; son, Robert Bruegge Jr. in 2004; and siblings, Sonny Harris, Howard Harris, Edward Dusenbery, Roy Dusenbery, Carl “Butch” Harris, and Ila Spiker.
