Obituary for Jeanne M Long Jeanne Marie Long, age 90, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Park Place Elder Living in Mt. Pleasant.
A private graveside service and interment will be held November 17, 2018 at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for Park Place Elder Living in Mt. Pleasant and for HCI Hospice Care Services.

Jeanne was united in marriage to Merle Eiffert in 1946 in Maryville, KS. They later divorced. She married Richard Long in 1965 in Trenton, Iowa.
Jeanne had resided in Washington, Wayland and most recently Mt. Pleasant. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Red Cross.
Jeanne was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her son, Jerald Eiffert and wife Donna of Carlinville, IL; son, Jamie Eiffert and wife Sandy of Mt. Pleasant, IA; step-sons: Richard, Bill, Jerry, Doug, Christopher and Renald Long; grandchildren: Todd Eiffert and wife Teresa of Decatur, IL; Lisa Green and husband Matt of Huntley, IL; Troy Eiffert and wife Heidi of Cedar Rapids, IA; and Andy Eiffert and wife Jonna of North Liberty, IA; 7 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Charles Laws of Blue Grass, IA; and Chester Laws of Iowa City, IA She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard in 1996; former husband, Merle in 2008; and sister, Charlene Simmons.
