Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Maxine (Bamberg) Kocur, Barbara was born on May 15, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She married Gerald W. Kretz on October 12, 1957. He predeceased her on December 3, 2014. Barb retired from Superior Dairy 2006.

Barb enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving are four daughters, two sons and their spouses, Jeri and Ed Ayotte, St. Charles; Tammy (Kretz) Roehm, Saginaw; Craig Kretz, Saginaw; Sue Kretz, Saginaw; Mark and Jennifer Kretz, Freeland; Lisa and T.J. Preston, Saginaw; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Snyder, Saginaw. Barb was preceded in death by her sister Vickie Henige and by her brother-in-law, John Snyder.

Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor Julie Bailey will officiate with private interment in St. Andrew Cemetery.

Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Mustard Seed Shelter or East Side Soup Kitchen.
