Our beloved brother, nephew, uncle and friend passed away suddenly Saturday, May 11, 2019. Age 70 years. The son of the late John E. McRae and Mary (Smejkal) McRae, Don was born January 20, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He was employed at General Motors for 25 years until his retirement. Don loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping and traveling. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Don loved to share the word of the Lord and enjoyed writing and singing hymns. Surviving are his brother, John P. McRae and sister-in-law, Susan (Watrous) McRae; four nieces and two nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Don was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara (Gough) Eagle, and by a brother-in-law, Gerry Eagle.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at First Baptist of Bridgeport, 2400 King Road in Bridgeport. Friends may visit at First Baptist of Bridgeport on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.
