Donald P Brown, January 23, 1927 — May 26, 2019

Donald P. Brown, Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Age 92 years.

Son of the late Frank and Bertha (Bielski) Brown, Donald was born January 23, 1927 in Saginaw and has been a lifelong resident. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post #439 and V.F.W. Post #1859. Don married Dolores F. Johnson on September 2, 1950.

She predeceased him July 27, 2007. Don was employed at G.M. Nodular and Grey Iron Foundries for 30 years. He was a past member of St. George Catholic Church.

Don loved fishing with his brothers, loved music and took great care and pride in his work. Surviving are six children: Pamela Martin, Judith Brown, Randall (Joyce) Brown, Ronald Brown, Carole Brown and Donald L. Brown; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his brother, John Brown; and many nieces and nephews. Donald was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Brown; his son-in-law, Joseph Martin; a granddaughter, Tricia Bruske; a sister, Anna Brown; and six brothers, Frank, Julius, Joseph, Albert, Steve and Edward Brown.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Rd. , Saginaw. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Services conducted by V.F.W. Post #1859.

Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
