Lowden, Marie Anna of Zilwaukee, Michigan, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her home. She was 94 years old. Marie Anna Rehmann was born November 3, 1924 in Zilwaukee, Michigan to the late Rudolph and Caroline (Sollner) Rehmann.

She married George H. Lowden on February 5, 1944. Marie attended St. Andrew High School, graduating in 1943. Marie was a faithful and lifetime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Zilwaukee, presently known as St. John Paul II Parish.

She an active member in the St. Matthew’s Alter Society. She loved reading, keeping up with the news, and watching church services every Sunday. Marie also made sure there was vegetable garden in her back yard every summer.

But, what she really loved most was visiting with her family and friends. Surviving are her children, Anne (Wallace) Winters, George R. Lowden, and Susan (Brian) Markusic; five grandchildren, Carolyn (Scott) Fuller, Barbara (fiancé, Stephen Maurer) Winters, Deborah (James Shearer) Winters, Connor Markusic and Logan Markusic; five great-grandchildren, Raymond (Kelly) Fuller, Skye Fuller, Corey Winters, Kelsey Winters and Abby Howard; two great-great-granddaughters, Maecie & Cora Fuller and many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, George H.; son, Robert Lowden; sister, Elizabeth Burton and daughter in-law Colleen Lowden.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Josaphat Site), 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48604. Rev. Fr.

James W. Bessert will officiate. Rite of Committal to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Church on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Sisters of St. Clare, 4875 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603 or to St. John Paul II Parish, 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw Michigan 48604. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd.
