Our dear, thoughtful, kind and loving, wife, mother, sister, cousin and friend, Barbara Ann Musumeci, left this earth on May 7, 2018. She has now been reunited with her son, Philip, her parents and her very special aunt, Katie. Barbara was born on July 27, 1947 to Santo and Lucille Carminati.

She and her two brothers, Stephen and Richard were raised in the Bronx, New York. She met Phil Musumeci in 1966 and they were married on February 21, 1969. This past February they celebrated their 49th anniversary.

In 1974, Barbara, Phil and their daughter, Maria left New York with her parents and brothers to start a new adventure in California. Barbara, while living in California, gave birth to their son, Philip. She was an active member of AYSO Soccer.

She was also an avid fan and cheerleader for Maria…who was an awesome softball pitcher. After living and enjoying 20 years in the San Fernando Valley, after a major earthquake, they picked up and relocated to Sandy, Utah…where they have resided for the past 24 years. Although Barbara’s heart was firmly planted in New York…she always made her new house a “home”.

Barbara had a quick mind, a beautiful smile and a very caring nature. She was always a devoted and dedicated employee, a warm and tender-hearted dog lover (especially pugs) and a fantastic cook! She was generous to a fault and always ready to plan a party/get-together!

She touched everyone she met…leaving many wonderful memories for family and friends. She loved fully and was loved by all. She will be missed by so many!

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, Phil; daughter, Maria; brother, Stephen (Caroline); aunt, Geri; many cousins and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother and son. Barbara…until we meet again… A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.
