Obituary for Barbara Ann Mulligan Barbara Ann Mulligan February 13, 1942-November 18, 2018 Barbara Ann Mulligan, 76, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home in La Porte, Indiana. She was born February 13, 1942 in Sylacauga, Alabama, the daughter of James Robert Owens and Oval Pearl (Putnam) Owens. Barbara was a retired nurse.
She enjoyed reading and watching police shows. She dearly loved her dog, Manny. On January 28, 1968, in Forest Park, Illinois, she married Ronald James Mulligan who preceded in death February 17, 2004.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon (Frank) Humphrey, Brenda (Randall) Williamson; two sons, Steven Mulligan, Brian (Susan) Mulligan; brother, Robert (Connie) Owens; three grandchildren, Kylie Mulligan, Alyssa Mulligan, Matthew Mulligan; her best friend who was like a sister to her, Lois Johnson and special friends, Larry and Ginny Johnson. Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave.
, La Porte, Indiana where the family will receive friends Friday, November 23, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment will follow at the Union Mills Cemetery, Union Mills, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, Indiana 46383 or LaPorte Co. Animal Shelter, 2855 W. Ind. 2, LaPorte, Indiana 46350. The family would like to thank Dunes Hospice for their tender and compassionate care especially, Theresa, Deanna, Kim and Kathryn.
