Barbara D. Cherry Nee: Goostree Age 86, passed away Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Alden Courts of Shorewood. Survived by three sons Gary M. (Cathy) of New Lenox, Tommy G. (Sarah) of Manhattan and Donald L. Cherry of Pekin, IL; grandchildren Christina (Andy), Steven, Kate, Emily, Renee and Sidney; great grandchildren Simon, Elliot and Teegan; one sister Eula Mae Hickey and one brother Tommy Goostree. Preceded in death by her husband James T. Cherry; parents Marshall and Virginia Goostree; one brother John Goostree and one sister Patricia Brown.

Born in Salem, IL, living in Elwood most of her life. Member of the Shorewood Church of God. The family would like to Thank the staff at Alden Courts and Guy and Nicole from Joliet Area Community Hospice for the loving care given to Barbara.

A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held, Saturday February 2, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at the Shorewood Church of God, 203 School Rd, Shorewood, IL 60404. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.
