She was born in Long Branch, NJ and grew up in Leonardo, NJ prior to moving to Brick 23 years ago. Barbara was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Girl Scouts leader, and a member of the Baptist Church in Leonardo.

She was pre-deceased in death by her husband, Gerald William Sr., and daughter, Brenda Manning. Surviving Barbara are her daughter, Barbara Mastic; son, Gerald William Evans Jr., and his wife Pamela; her son in law, David Manning; two sisters, Patricia Black and May Marx. Also surviving Barbara are 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held for Barbara on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723. A funeral home service will be offered on Saturday at 3:30 pm.
