Barbara J. King, age 81, of DeGraff, passed away at 4:54 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born in Urbana, Ohio on June 19, 1936 to the late Robert Levi and Pauline (Sellers) King. Barbara was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Tracy; granddaughter, Cari Shaffner; great grandchild, Nevaeh Breneman; sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Floyd Predmore; brother, Richard King; brother-in-law, Thomas Cooksey; beloved dog, Minnie Moo; and beloved cat, BooBoo.

Barbara is survived by her children, Connie (Jim) Clevenger of DeGraff, Sherrie (John) McKenzie of Bethel Island, California, Dave (Randi) Downing Jr. of DeGraff, Dan (Liz) Hager of DeGraff, Ryan (Tessca) Hites of Bellefontaine and Lisa Rogers of Harper; grandchildren, Robert, Jeremy, Cole, Anna, Mary, Samantha, Traysa, Trestin, Kyra, Caydence, Alexis, Ryan, Kevin, Nathan, Noah, Sara, and Nattie; 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Rita (Ronnie) Wolford of Mechanicsburg and Marge Cooksey of West Liberty; brother, Robert Levi (Stephanie) King of Nevada; many nieces and nephews; and many “adopted” children. Barbara was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed word searches and “scratch off” tickets.

Barbara was a huge fan of Elvis and Vic’s Barbeque. All who knew Barbara will miss her. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 31st from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in West Liberty.
