Janis Evelyn Blake, 74, of Quincy, passed away at 5:04 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in Piqua Manor. She was born in Quincy, Ohio on April 4, 1944, the daughter of the late Harold S. and Evelyn (Brown) Blake. She is survived by a brother, Donald H. (Linda) Blake of Centennial, Colorado.

Janis was a life-long member of the Quincy United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir, was very involved with the Emmaus Group and enjoyed working with young children in Vacation Bible School. She worked as a housekeeper most of her life, working for Wilson Memorial Hospital, the YMCA in Sidney and for Clean-All company in Sidney. Pastor Jerry Lewis will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Quincy United Methodist Church, 111 South Street, Quincy, OH 43343.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes Street, DeGraff. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Quincy. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in DeGraff.
