Barbara’s Obituary Montezuma – Barbara Jane Lea Jantz, 102, died January 24, 2019 at Bethel Home in Montezuma. She was born on July 3, 1916 at Gloster, Mississippi, the daughter of Wallace James Lea and Lola Mae (Porter) Jantz. Barbara moved with her family to Montezuma.

She attended school at Montezuma High School. On October 8, 1935, she was united in marriage to Reuben Jantz. He preceded her in death.

To this union, six children were born. Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of the Oakridge Mennonite Church in Florence, Missouri.

Barbara is survived by five children, Kathryn Buller and husband Don of Stover, Missouri, Charlotte Koehn and husband Leonard of Stover, Missouri, Jerry Jantz and wife Judy of Gravois Mills, Missouri, Donald Jantz and wife Sheila of Caldwell, Idaho, and Paul Jantz and wife Rebecca of Ulysses; two brothers, W. Jay Jantz of Little Rock, Arkansas and Joe Wayne Jantz of Greenback, Tennessee; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reuben; and a son, Victor Jantz. Funeral service will be held at Oakridge Mennonite Church in Florence Missouri on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:30 at Bethel Home in Montezuma and on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Oakridge Mennonite Church in Florence, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to Bethel Home in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel – PO Box 421 – Montezuma, Kansas 67867.
