Bennettsville, SC Formerly of Rockingham, NC Barbara McCormick Collins, 73, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at First Health Moore Regional Medical Center in Pinehurst, NC after an illness. Born April 26, 1945 in McColl, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lacy Ralph and Evelyn Deaver McCormick. Mrs. Barbara retired from Burlington Industries in Cordova, NC.

She attended Antioch United Methodist Church in Bennettsville. She enjoyed collecting clown figurines, Daily Devotions with Lib Rivers, listening to gospel music, and spending time with family and friends. She was also a lifelong fan of George Jones.

Mrs. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband Robert Benson Collins; and son Robert Addie Benson Collins. She is survived by her, sons, Larry E. Hamilton, Jr., of Florida; Christopher A. Collins, of Hamlet, NC; brothers, Ralph T. McCormick (Polly) of Rockingham, NC, James W. McCormick (Patricia) of Ellerbe, NC, Danny R. McCormick of Rockingham, NC, Jerry W. McCormick (Cindy) of Bennettsville, SC; granddaughters, Tiffany Shaw of Lumberton, NC, Christina Collins of Hamlet, NC, Ashley Collins of Hamlet, NC; grandson, Larry Hamilton III of Lumberton, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Antioch United Methodist Church in Bennettsville, with burial at 4:30 p.m. in Northam Cemetery in Rockingham, NC.

Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. just prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 448, Bennettsville, SC 29512. On-line condolences may be made at www.
