Barbara Howard, 60 of Wallins, Ky went home to her Lord & Savior on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Harlan ARH while surrounded by her family. She was a devoted Christian, who served her Lord for 44 years and was a faithful member of the Laymon Pentecost Holiness Church. She was a wonderful mother and nannie to her children and grandchildren.

Barbara was born June 1, 1958 to the late Blaine and Mildred Saylor. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Mike Howard and her sister, Tammie Saylor. She is survived by her children, April (Willie) Galloway, Machael Blaine (Beverly) Howard, and Jordan (Freddie Jo) Howard; five grandchildren, Jessalynn Galloway, Natalie Howard, Luke Howard, Jordyn Howard, Carlyn Howard, and 1 on the way; Her sisters, Sandra Stephens, Sharon (Moe) Saylor, Vanda (John) McNab; brothers, Darryl Saylor, and Paul (Cheryl) Saylor; brother in law, Leroy (Sharon), Donnie (Ro), Blackey (Robin), Robbie (Mona) Howard; sister in laws, Wilma Hensley, Lajune (Bob) Choate, Debbie (Delane) Galloway, Theresa Howard, and Tammy (Bobby) Whitehead; she leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her church family to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 6 – 9 at the Anderson-Laws & Jones Funeral Home, then Wednesday, Oct. 17 after 5:00 pm until the funeral hour at the Laymon Pentecost Holiness Church, Laymon, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 18, at 1:00 pm at the Laymon Pentecost Holiness Church with Rev. John Neal officiating.

Burial will follow in the Park Howard Cemetery at Wallins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Heartfelt thanks to Julie Jackson, Dr. Stanley Marlowe for their kind and compassionate care of our mother, and the entire staff of the Harlan ARH.
