Obituary of Barbara Maness Barbara Lynn Lax Maness, age 62, of Candor died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem. Ms. Maness was born December 28, 1955 at Troy, NC the daughter of Bobby Gerald Lax and Betty Burroughs Lax. She was formerly employed with Pine Hosiery in Ether and Ramtex in Ramseur.

Barbara loved gardening and growing flowers. She was a bird lover and enjoyed being close to nature. She is survived by two sons: Clyde Ray Freeman II of Star, NC and Michael L Freeman of Star, NC; one daughter Sherri F. Blue of Troy, NC; eleven grandchildren; mother, Betty Burroughs Lax; three sisters: Teresa Chriscoe of Star, NC, Crystal Beane of Asheboro, NC and Wanda McNeil of Seagrove, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene C. Maness and her father, Bobby Gerald Lax. A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. On-line condolences may be made at www.
