Obituary of Johnny Kirkman Johnny Gale Kirkman, age 85, of Asheboro passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Kirkman was born in Ramseur, NC on January 21, 1933 to Gurney and Lillie Newsom Kirkman. Johnny was a 1951 graduate of Ramseur High School and served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict.

He was retired from Eveready Battery. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Smith Kirkman, daughter, Pebble Jo Kirkman and his siblings, Ellen Staley, Ray Kirkman, Josephine Stout, Tate Kirkman, and Ruby Raines. We would to thank him for being such a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

We love you with all our hearts and will miss you dearly. He is survived by his son, Roman Kirkman and wife Ashley of Greensboro; daughter, Rhonda Langley of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, John and Markell Hunt and Bennett and Katherine Kirkman; great grandchild, Emma Osorio. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 am at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro.

A memorial service will follow on Monday at 11:00 am at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Bernie Raymond officiating. Inurnment will be held at Randolph Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204-0009.
