Barry Compton, Sr., age 85, of West Milton, passed away September 5, 2018 at home. He was born February 26, 1933, in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Jewel Bernice Compton and Thelma (Wood) Jay. He is survived by his children Don Bailey of Huber Heights, Tonya (Mark) Lee of Piqua, Barry (Sheryl) Compton, Jr. of Bellbrook, Patti (Andy) Scowden of Union, Tim Compton of West Milton, Becky Compton of West Milton, Merry (Tony) Granato of West Milton, Brenda Compton of New York, and Dawn (Mark) Willis of Indiana; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Carole, mother and father, brother, and 1 grandchild. Barry was a member of the American Legion Post 487 and the West Milton Lions Club. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton.

Friends may call prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Hospice of Miami County for their special care and concern. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
