William “Bill”Smith Age 83, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, at the Laurels of Huber Heights. He was born November 22, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Earl & Dolly (Potter) Smith. Bill graduated from Fairview High School class of 1953, and retired as an electrician tech from Lytton.

He was a longtime member of the Brush Creek Church of God. He was a member of the Dayton Amateur Radio Association and attended 62 Dayton Hamventions. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 27 years Rita (McMaken) Smith; son and daughter-in-law Roger & Ann of Dayton; daughter and son-in-law Tina & Scott Lybarger of Crossville, Tennessee; sisters Margaret Porter of Brookville and Virgie Armstrong of Brookville; sister in law Maxine Smith.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Richard Smith, Helen Brewer, Joe Smith. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 1, at the Brush Creek Church of God. Pastor Dave Hixson will officiate with interment following at Curtis Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday, October 31, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Brush Creek Church of God, 6370 Fredrick-Garland Road, Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
