Obituary for Beatrice Catherine Meyer Beatrice Catherine Meyer, 91, of Grand Island formerly of Lincoln passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. To honor Beatrice’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred with her husband’s at Fort McPherson at a later date. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Beatrice was born August 22, 1927 in Harrison, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Catherine (Connely) Grimm. She graduated from Harrison High School. She married John Meyer on May 31, 1948 and they made their home in Lincoln.

She relocated to Grand Island in 2007, bringing her closer to family. In years past, Beatrice enjoyed needlework and tole-painting, and made the best coffee cake. Above all, she loved and enjoyed her family.

They will fondly remember her great sense of humor. Those who will cherish her memory include her children, William F. Meyer, Kay Knowles, Corinne (Scott) Hilligas and Kim (Steve) McMullen; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2010; and her parents.
