Beatrice Lee Ware, November 20, 1921 — July 05, 2018

Obituary for Beatrice Lee Ware Beatrice Lee Ware, affectionately nicknamed “Old Timer” by her husband, age 96, of League City, Texas, and formerly of French Creek, died Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Regency Care Center in League City. She was born November 20, 1921, at Grand Camp, WV, a daughter of the late Abraham Lincoln “Abe” and Lula “Lou” Loudin Burr. She was preceded in death by her husband Coleman “Joe” Ware on September 26, 2011.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one sister Genevieve Benedetto; two half-sisters Orphie and Georgie; and three half-brothers: Claude, Aaron, and Brud Burr. She is survived by one daughter Linda and husband Rev. Randall L. Hughes of French Creek; one son Rev.

Melvin M. Ware and wife Rosella of Dickinson, TX; three grandchildren: Christina and husband David Hasenleder, Tammy and husband Hector Gonzales, and Chad Ware and wife Annette; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ware was a member of the Laurel Fork United Methodist Church. Sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking were just a few of the many talents she possessed as a loving wife and mother.

She loved to sing, travel, make pets of many different animals, and to “boss” her husband Joe. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, from 5-8:00 PM, at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The body will be moved on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, to the Laurel Fork United Methodist Church, where she will lie in state from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, the funeral hour, with the Rev.

Melvin M. Ware and the Rev. Randall L. Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Laurel Fork Cemetery.
