Belinda Leyen Belinda Leyen, 59, wife of Thomas Charles Leyen, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, at MUSC in Charleston. Born November 29, 1958, in Dunn, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Shirley Bass. She was employed by the Air Force Audit Agency and was the previous owner of TLC Hair and Skin Professionals.

She was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Survivors include her husband of 40 years; two sons, Michael “Shane” Amore (Ashley Nicole Amore) of Dalzell and Christopher Charles Leyen (Ashley Elizabeth Leyen) of Lexington; six grandchildren, Ramsey “Cross” Amore, Kaitlyn “K.K.” Copp, Kylee Alexis Mann, Mia Bella Amore, Trystan Leyen, and Bailee Leyen; a step-sister, April Monday; a niece, Dezi Butler; and special friends, Buffy and Scott Laws and family. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel.

Burial with military honors will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dusty “Buddy” Laws, Scott “Buddy” Laws, John Tipton, “Ish”, Robert Jordan, and Dwayne “Bone” Crim. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Shane, 5585 Schellin Dr., Dalzell.

Memorials may be made to the MUSC Hope House. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
