Obituary for Bennie Jack Pate Jackie Pate has left the building. His full name was Bennie Jack Pate, but everybody that knew him called him Jackie. He was 57 years old.

He left this world on July 27, 2018. He lived, he laughed, and he loved in Queen City, Texas. He did a hell of a lot of drinking and smoking there, too.

He loved music, especially Queen, Pink Floyd, Thin Lizzie, and George Strait. He and his wife would sit around on Saturday nights, listening to music and reminiscing about the times when he wasn’t dead. He also had a notoriously dry sense of humor which he passed on to both of his children.

He loved fried bologna sandwiches, the movies “Tombstone” and “Armageddon,” and sitting quietly with his wife in his later years. Earlier on, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family or playing his guitar. He worked in the woods as a logger for most of his life.

He had a killer work ethic and worked right up until the end. We like to believe he liked the outdoors, but he sure did like ing about the heat. These words don’t do a lot to capture his essence, but it’s a start.

He cared deeply for all of the people in his life, and loved his new grandbaby. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Pate, and his two sons, Tyler and Anthony. He had one grandchild, Rowan Pate.

They each loved him dearly. He is joining his recently-deceased brothers, Jerry and Jeff. We like to think they’ll form a three-piece rock band and spend the next eternity jamming to hard rock songs.

He died with a possible warrant pending somewhere for a $20 hot check he accidentally wrote a decade ago and those SOBs never wrote it off. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Bennie Jack Pate please visit our Sympathy Store.
