Bernadee Brower Elders August 08, 1927 – February 17, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Bernadee passed away at St Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor WA on Sunday the 17th of February 2019. She was 91. She was born in Ashton ID to Velta & Austin Brower.

She was the second oldest of nine children. In 1944 she married Jewel Elders (Doris was born) and they moved to Darrington Wa, (JT was born) then Ashton Id, (Galen was born), then to Darrington Wa (Bill, Dennis, Glenda and Patsy were born). 1964 they settled in the Lake Quinault area.

Bernadee started the “pool hall” in Amanda Park and it evolved into a place for the community youth to gather and socialize. Bernadee was an avid seamstress and always up for an upholstering challenge of any item from a chair to boat. She made the original flag for the Lady Washington of the Grays Harbor Tall Ship Project.

She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for nearly 70 years. Many of those years she quilted with the church missionary ladies. She was a big Seattle Mariner fan and loved going to Grays Harbor Gulls games.

Surviving Bernadee are her children Galen (Jen) Elders, Bill (Glenda) Elders, Dennis (Sherri) Elders, Glenda (Michael) Rooney, and Patsy Elders. Bernadee has 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister, Marva of Idaho Falls.

ID and 2 brothers, Ralph of Layton UT. and Clifford of Highland, UT. She is preceded in death by her husband Jewel.

Daughter Doris of Sylva, NC. Son J.T. of Oakville; her parents, Velta & Austin Brower; and brothers Laurence, L.G., Dean, Verl, and Ben. A memorial service for Bernadee is planned for 1:00 pm Saturday April 13, 2019 at Quinault Valley Chapel 31 Burn Rd, Neilton, WA 98566 A reception will follow.

Her ashes will be placed next to Jewel the following Friday, April 19, 2:00 at the cemetery in Darrrington WA. The family thanks the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil WA and St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor for their great care.
