Obituary for Bernadette Marie Kowalskey (O’Sullivan) TROY – Bernadette M. (O’Sullivan) Kowalskey passed away peacefully in her 97th year on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy. Bernadette was the beloved wife of the late John J. Kowalskey with whom she enjoyed 63 years of marriage before his passing on June 19, 2011. Also preceding Bernadette in death were her brothers and sisters; Francis O’Sullivan, Margaret (Flynn) Wells, Charles O’Sullivan, Genevieve “Jean” Bothwell, Rita O’Sullivan and Joseph Donohue.
She is survived by her loving children; John J. (Jane) Kowalski, Jr. of Glenmont, NY, Jean M. (Stanley) Len of Cohoes, NY, James P. Kowalskey of Windsor, NY and William F. (Kathleen) Kowalski of Cohoes, NY; her cherished grandchildren, Debra Kowalski, Dana(Jacob) Brady, Hillary and Brian Len, Candace and Joshua Kowalski; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am in St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Latham. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watervliet.
Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with Bernadette’s family on Wednesday from 4 until 7 pm at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet. For those who wish to remember Bernadette in a special way, a donation may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
