Obituary for Bernard Albert Groll II Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved father, grandfather and son passed away suddenly doing what he loved most on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Age 54 years.

The son of Bernard A. Groll, Sr. and the late Arlene V. (Kuehnemund) Groll, Bernie was born September 7, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan. Bernie was a lifelong farmer and was a custodian for Saginaw Township Schools for 34 years. He enjoyed rollerskating, listening to music, doing side projects with Curtis and Robert, playing cards, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Bernie will be remembered as always being the first to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Surviving to cherish his memory are one daughter and two sons, Suzan and Shawn O’Neil, Flint; CJ Groll, Munger and Robert Groll and significant other, Ashley Agnew; his significant other, Jenny Kennelly, Saginaw; his father, Bernard A. Groll, Sr., Saginaw; two sisters and one brother, Susan and Tim Kennelly, Clio; Carolyn and Mike Hamlin, Freeland; Mike Groll, Freeland; many nieces, nephews and special friends; his canine companions, Sugar, Lucy and Daisy. Bernie was preceded in death by his son, Steven Daniel Groll.

Funeral Service will take place 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev.

Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Family and friends will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Saginaw County Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
