Bernard “Bernie” Myhren, 63, of White Pine, formerly of Green, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 20, 2019. He was born September 13, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to Carl and Mary (Gebeau) Myhren. Bernie grew up in Green, Michigan.

He graduated from the White Pine High School in 1974. He held numerous jobs as a welder after receiving his welding certificate. He also spent time working in the Texas oil fields.

Bernie eventually returned home to be closer to his family and to help take care of his mother after his father passed away. He pursued a career in the forest products industry, where he held various positions as a truck driver and equipment operator. He was very proud of his career in the forest products industry.

Bernie was also an avid animal lover. He especially loved his two kitties. He also enjoyed feeding and watching wild animals including rabbits and deer in his back yard.

Bernie is survived by his children: Keith, Chad and Aimee as well as numerous grandchildren; sister Carol (Jim) Bauer, sister-in-law Lillian Myhren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary, his siblings Louise Cavender, Joan Burke, Sharon Heikkila, Kenneth, Leslie, Gerald and Robert Myhren and numerous aunts and uncles. At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral services.

Spring burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Ontonagon. Cane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
