Obituary for Bernice Jones Lillie Bernice Jones Emerson, AR Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Bernice Jones, age 91, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Western Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Canterbury and Rev. Rusty Gilbert officiating.

Interment will follow in Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, on Friday, November 23rd at the Bailey Funeral Home chapel. Mrs. Jones was born on April 8, 1927 to Richard Madison and Sarah Carolina Haynes Vaughan in Emerson, AR and passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home in Emerson, AR.

She was a lifelong resident of the Western Community, a faithful member of Western Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was employed with the Emerson Schools as a cafeteria worker for 20 years and loved cooking for her family and friends and taking care of others. She is survived by three daughters, Ann ton and husband, Gary of Shongaloo, LA; Sue Reeves and husband, Ricky of Shongaloo, LA; Elaine Gilbert and husband, Rusty of Homer, LA; son, Larry “Punk” Jones and wife, Dianne of Springhill, LA; three sisters, Helen Paradise of Seneca Falls, NY; Ruth Caskey of Springhill, LA; Barbara Rhinehart of Vicksburg, MS; two brothers, Sammy Vaughan of Minden, LA; Rusty Vaughan of Durham, NC; four grandsons, Brandon Jones and wife, Brandy; Heath ton and wife, Amanda; Lance Reeves; Jesse Beard and wife, Chandler; four granddaughters, Sara Jones Hall and husband, Josh; Emily ton; Kristin Reeves Cavender and husband, Sean, and Ragan Beard and fiance’, Kyle Thorne; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Cavis Jones in 1974; her parents; a son, Wayne Jones; eight brothers; one sister, and a step-brother. Pallbearers will be Brandon Jones, Heath ton, Lance Reeves, Jesse Beard, Josh Hall and Sean Cavender. The nephews of Mrs. Jones will serve as honorary pallbearers.
