Bette B. Reeder, 87, of Moline, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at UnityPoint Health, Trinity Rock Island. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Ave. , Moline.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 3rd, from 3-5 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Bette was born on January 25, 1931 in Mount Sterling, IL, the daughter of Warren and Nellie G. Test Cory.

She married Floyd V. “Spud” Reeder on December 24, 1948 in Mount Sterling, IL; he preceded her in death on April 22, 1983. Bette worked at the former Devitts Boot Store in Moline and later at the Rock Island Arsenal as a contract specialist in the procurement department for more than 22 years. After her retirement she was involved with the Ladies Club.

Survivors include her son, Terry Reeder, Moline; four grandchildren, Stacey Watts, Lynsy Hesse, Scott Reeder, and LeAnn Reeder. She was preceded in death by husband, Floyd Reeder; son, Monte J. Reeder; step son, John Reeder; parents; and sister, Lemae Icenagle.
