Mrs. Betty Ann Irwin Meadows, age 82 of Rockmart passed away Friday, March 22, 2019. Mrs. Meadows was born June 28, 1936 in Polk County, daughter of the late Charlie Oscar Irwin and the late Bertha Viola Turkett Irwin. Betty was a member of the Gospel Harvester Outreach of Stockbridge.

She was a homemaker who loved to fish and was a great story teller, but most of all Betty loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Faye Irwin Brown, Louise Irwin Garrett, Grace Irwin Williams and Lucy Irwin Gallimore; three brothers, C.J.“Bud” Irwin, J.B.Irwin and Gus Irwin; two half-sisters, Mary Irwin Moon and Dell Irwin Dyar; and three half-brothers, Earnest Irwin, George Irwin and Manco Irwin. Survivors include her husband, David Meadows of Rockmart to whom she was married March 19, 1971; a son, Terry Crane and his wife Donna of Chamblee; a daughter, Lisa Beth Crane of Oxford; sister, Virginia Irwin Stringer and her husband Bruce of Kennesaw; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Meadows will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2019 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Drucker officiating. Interment services will follow in the family lot of Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 25, 2019 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ann Irwin Meadows.
