Betty’s Obituary Betty Halencak, 77, of Wichita Falls was called home to be in the loving arms of our Lord and to her beloved husband, Raymond after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, followed by the rosary at 6:30, and a visitation until 8:00 P.M.. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Scotland, Texas with Rev.

Michael Moloney and Rev. Eric Ritter, celebrants. Rite of Committal will follow at Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Betty was born on October 11, 1941, to the late Henry Sr. and Louise (Ermis) Vieth in Scotland, Texas, into a farming family. After completing high school in Archer City, Betty moved to Wichita Falls where she worked as a nanny and housekeeper. A short time later, she would meet Raymond Halencak, the love of her life.

With loving care, Betty nurtured her family for over 50 years as a homemaker and seamstress. She served her community for 15 years at the Wichita General Hospital in housekeeping in the surgery department. Betty and Ray celebrated and shared 53 years together until his passing in 2014.

The couple raised two daughters, who would become the first college graduates of the family. Her two grandchildren filled her heart with love and a smile every day. Betty is survived by her daughters, Cathy Halencak-Kahlig and husband of North Richland Hills and Lucretia Doblado and husband of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; granddaughter, Rachel Jimenez and husband of Dallas; and grandson, Chris Kahlig of North Richland Hills; sister, Ruth Ann Billen of Wichita Falls; and brother, Richard Vieth of Scotland.

Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Henry Vieth Jr. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Wichita Fall Hospice for their loving care during Betty’s struggle with cancer. They provided great care, love and support to our family. They are “True Angels” on earth.
